Zen, at the age of 7, lives peacefully with his parents and younger sister until they are engulfed by mysterious gloved hands, which also take his left leg. Seven years later, hundreds more disappearances occur similarly, leaving Zen feeling powerless against these enigmatic foes. He dreams of revenge and explanations.
