Appare-Ranman!

"Appare-Ranman!" is an anime series set in the late 19th century in Japan and the United States. It follows Sorano Appare, a brilliant yet eccentric inventor, and Kosame Isshiki, a pragmatic samurai. Accidentally transported out of Japan, they find themselves participating in a transcontinental automobile race to make their way back home. This improbable adventure takes them across wild landscapes and ruthless challenges as they compete against other racers in surprising and innovative vehicles.
