Ray Gigant is a Bandai Namco dungeon RPG set in 20XX where every city in the world is overwhelmed by giant monsters called "Gigants".

Without any sign of victory, military resistance was a wasted effort. That is until a boy named Ichiya Amakazein Tokyo can defeat a Gigant with the help of a "Yorigami", incredibly intelligent beings who can unite with humans and act as a weapon and hold a conversation.

Each of the three protagonists Ichiya, Kyle, and Nil have their Yorigami which specializes in short, medium and long distance respectively, as well as their chapter of the game told from their perspective in their hometown. The protagonist of each chapter will also be accompanied by two different comrades.

The Gigants themselves are each designed after an ancient divine beast and vary in size, from colossal bosses. These are aliens who must invade Earth to eradicate all human life.

The different combat distances will have a direct effect on your perspective during battle, with the types of attacks at each distance being very simple. Short-range fighters specialize in melee and physical attacks with swords and axes. Mid-range fighters are out of range of physical attacks from monsters and use mid-range attacks and help comrades fight at close range. Long range hunters are the most distant and use long range attacks and aid fighters at medium and short range.
